Golf Range Finders

Range finders are tools that determine the actual distance to a target on the golf course. Let us say you are standing in the middle of the fairway and you find an irrigation head that states you are 150 yards to the green. Is that to the front of the green, the back, or middle? Lets use a range finder.

What Does A Range Finder Do

With a range finder you simply aim the tool at the pin or any other target and the device tells you exactly how far from the target you are standing. The range finder is perfect for determining exactly how far you are from any target while golfing. Your range finder says its 160 yards to the pin. The sprinkler head said it was 150 yards. Will the 10 yards difference between the estimated distance and the actual make you a better golfer?

Will Range Finders Help My Game

The simple truth of the matter is that a range finder will only help those golfers who know how far they hit each of their clubs. For instance, if the golfer above doesn't know what club to use for a 150 yard shot knowing it's 160 yards is not going to help him.

Additionally, the range finder only tells you how far the target is. The golfer still needs to take into account wind speed, direction, and lie before they can accurately gauge the distance of the ball.

We suggest you get your golf shots to within 15 feet of each target you shoot at then buy the range finder to put you right on.
