Golf Gloves

Selecting the proper golf glove is essential to swinging the club properly. Without a solid grip swinging it properly is almost impossible. Golf gloves provide the needed friction against the grip to keep it from slipping or twisting in your hand while striking the ball.

Even the slightest twist during impact means the difference between a dead on shot or being yards off target. Golf gloves come in many different materials and colors. Selecting the correct glove is covered in the next section.

Selecting The Correct Size

Correct Golf GloveGolf gloves need to fit properly. A glove that is too loose or tight will wear faster and provide less than desirable results on the course. It's tough to blame bad golf on a glove but a worn out glove is often the reason for off target shots. When selecting a glove have the Pro at the shop fit you. They know how a glove should fit and once you've been properly sized you can buy the next one on your own.

Climate And Glove Materials

Where you play makes a difference. Golfers playing in Florida or some of the other warmer climates have to consider sweat and moisture when purchasing a glove. Buying a glove that doesn't hold up to moisture well means you'll be replacing your gloves more often than necessary.

Cabretta leather provides a softer feel, while those made fromLeather Cabretta Golf Glove synthetic leather last longer because they are more durable and resist moisture. Nothing beats a leather glove but they come with a price tag. Make sure to replace your glove when you notice it's torn or worn through.

Selecting a proper golf glove is very important to playing well. We suggest you consult your local golf shop and have yourself fitted by a Pro when you purchase your next pair of gloves.
