Golf Bags
Golf bags are an essential no matter where you
play. Having a bag that's right for you is also as important.
When selecting a golf bag there are a few things
to consider with regards to size, weight, and storage
space.
Different Golf Bags
There
are different types of golf bags available depending
on how or where you play. Tour professionals need to
carry a tour bag. These bags have plenty of space, storage
area, and are too big for most amateur golfers. For
the average golfer the decision is much easier. Select
a bag that carries your clubs without breaking your
back.
Size is always the first consideration. Don't buy a
big golf bag if you have to carry it yourself.
Golf bags today are made from a lightweight synthetic
material which provides strength, durability, and a
bag that doesn't weigh a ton.
Space is another consideration. Florida golfers need
to carry rain gear, umbrellas, and a host of other items
for the Florida climate. In order to carry these extras
a bag needs to be large enough so the pockets aren't
overstuffed which leads to seam tears.
Which Bag To Select
When selecting a golf bag you should think about where
you play most
of your golf, whether you walk or ride, and what you
need to carry with you in order to play a round.
If you're a walker then carrying or towing a heavy
bulky bag does not make sense. It's bad for your
back whether you tow it or carry your bag. You should
consider carrying a lightweight polyester bag with just
enough room to carry what you need.
If you ride a golf cart or use a caddy then perhaps
you can think about carrying a bigger golf bag.
If you play in a rainy climate and need extra room for
rain gear and other items get a bag with waterproof
pockets and room for your gear.
Basically, selecting the correct golf bag won't
help your game but it sure will make it easier to play
a perfect round of golf.
